Got around to watching "The Cloverfield Paradox" tonight; while I wasn't thrilled with the abrupt ending, overall I liked the movie. It does kinda tie the three "Cloverfield" films together, while giving voice to the fears of some regarding the Large Hadron Collider and its particle collisions.

Yes, most of the characters could've been developed better. The distrustful Russian just had to fight with the dispassionate German, hmmm? (Though it's hard for me to see Daniel Brühl, even on "The Alienist," as anything but Sokovian...) Mundy recovers much more quickly from being disarmed than Volkov did. But I did feel for them, particularly Hamilton. It was very nice to see Elizabeth Debicki again, too.

I'd probably put this below "10 Cloverfield Lane," but it was still an enjoyable movie. Maybe I'll try to watch the three in one sitting one of these days.
